Ski to Sea is quite possibly the most anticipated event in all of Whatcom County — and surrounding areas too! Ski to Sea is an adventure race held in Whatcom County that consists of teams of eight competing in seven different sports. Ski to Sea, like the name suggests, spans the mountains to the bay and includes Cross Country Ski, Downhill Ski/Snowboard, Running, Road Bike, Canoe, Cyclocross Bike, and Sea Kayak. Pretty much something for every athlete.

But you don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy this event. There’s a huge celebration at the end of the race, in Fairhaven, that has food, beer, music, arts & crafts vendors, children’s activities, people watching, and so much more.

So what does this event have to do with PogoZone? As a local internet service provider, we like to get involved where we can and support the communities we serve. That’s why we’re happy to announce that for the third year in a row, we are sponsoring the Ski to Sea finish line at Marine Park. We are also happy to be the official provider of high-speed internet services to select Ski to Sea officials. Why would a race need high-speed internet? So the results from the officials can be posted to the Ski to Sea website as quickly as possible.
